The April Target Beauty Box

I have purchased a few beauty boxes from Target and it has been a mix of discovering new products I like a lot and some that I never used beyond my initial test. This month I decided to give y'all a peek of what these boxes are so you can decide if they are worth your time and money.
First thing I want to say is that Target has some great customer service. I ordered my beauty box at the beginning of the month (they sell out quickly) and when it had been almost 2 weeks I checked in on my order status only to discover that it had been delivered the day before-In Virginia. I am not sure how my package got delivered so far away but when I contacted someone in customer service via Chat, I was helped immediately. He confirmed that my box had indeed been delivered to the wrong place and gave me the option of a refund or a replacement. Since there were a few products I was interested in trying, I opted for a new box to be sent to me. He got on that quickly and within 5 10 minutes of starting the chat, my new box was being processed. So kudos to being a company that doesn't pull the "We have no control over the postal service." routine. Another thing worth mentioning is that I got my box for under $7 because I have a RedCard so I pay no shipping. I am not sure if you get free shipping on the beauty box no matter what, so keep that in mind.

This month's box, priced at $7 contains the following:
Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation- My box came with Ivory 2-  While the sample is small it was enough to do my foundation and have some left over for at least one more application. I didn't find it greasy nor did it have a strong smell. It didn't seem to glide on any smoother than the Maybelline Mousse Foundation I have but it also didn't seem to be any more cakey than other foundations I have tried. My skin does feel soft with it instead of sticky but there is a product out there that made my skin feel even softer but for the life of me  I can't recall its name.

Laneige Water Bank Soothing Mask- That's the big blue package. I haven't tried this yet but I will update as soon as I do. I am looking forward to it however as long as I can get the time to use it uninterrupted by spouse and children .

Pantene AIRspray Hair Spray- Something I haven't used yet, but I do really like the smell. The current hair spray I am using stinks and I hate using it but it holds well and still has quite a bit left, so I will happily replace it if the Pantene can hold just as well without the nasty smell.

Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick- I got 325 Spellbound- The tube itself looks very appealing on its own. The color is very bold and bright and glides on very smoothly. The taste and smell isn't that great-I made the mistake of eating a piece of candy right after I applied and I feel it affected the taste somewhat.

Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport SPF 30 Lotion- It smells great and since I am familiar with the brand I have not doubts about its ability to moisturize and protect my skin from getting burnt to a crisp. It goes on well and does not leave a greasy finish to the skin.

Marlow No. 022 Body Butter- The smell is not all that appealing to me, it in ways reminds me of the way Merle Norman smelled. It is creamy and thick and I can definitely tell where I put it on my arm-there is a bit of a waxy feel to that spot.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes- The biggest reason I was interested in these is that it touts a scent free way to clean make-up off of my face. I bought some cleansing wipes not long ago that were so scented I can 't even stand to open the package. I checked these however and I don't smell a thing-not even with the pregnant super smell I've had lately. Once I try them out to see how well they remove make-up , especially eye make-up, I will update.

CeraVe Healing Ointment- Now, this is supposed to protect and sooth skin without feeling greasy. On the fingers it feels a tad greasy, but once I applied it to my super dry elbow and worked it in, it did not feel greasy there. My fingers still did until worked the product left over into my hands.Already that elbow feels softer than the other side and I think I may be using this for several days in a row in the hopes of having normal looking elbows.
The box also comes with a couple coupons-one being for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more at Target or Target.com, one for $1 off two Pantene Shampoos, Conditioners, or Stylers (this is a manufactures coupon), and the last one is for $2 off Maybelline Dream Velvet or any Maybelline New York face product (again a manufactures coupon).

All in all, not a bad way to spend $6.65!
